When: 21XX, after Jakob Incident - 22XX, Giga City Incident.

They exist because of each other, and are to serve each other...

New Hera was first designed to be a Human Utopia only, with little to no Reploids inside the city. Even up until it's demise, Reploids in the city were scarce. Before, a project was scrapped in favor of simply installing a Maverick Hunter Base within the city, a small one.

The scrapped Project was the "Seven Deadly SYN's". Their purpose was to be the guardians of New Hera, designed, created, and run by New Hera itself. They run on the energy source, Ordarium, which is an exclusive energy created by one of the City's founders, Magellan Ordarium, while his partner funded and advertised the project. Ordarium was hard to create, but the energy was wonderful, and it succeeded perfectly in powering Reploids.

The Seven Deadly SYN's

The Seven Deadly SYN's consists of seven groups, appropriately named after the seven deadly sins. Each group had two members, with their name relating to their group. The project was deemed unnecessary, and was never completed. The leader of the Seven Deadly SYN's would of been the pair, "SYN-Pride" due to the unnatural power they had, and boasted. After being scrapped, the six SYN's were less than happy that they were due to be terminated, and requested that they be moved, or given a different purpose. They were accepted, and then installed with New Generation Reploid Technology; Copy Chips.

With a new purpose, the six SYN's were sent to guard several locations around the world; each for special reasons. The seventh SYN; SYN-Pride, was kept hidden, and locked away under New Hera, in Doppler Town where they would not cause havoc if they somehow escaped.

When Lumine was destroyed, and found to be Maverick, Japan took the news of New Generations as Mavericks-waiting-to-happen seriously. New Hera, being heavily allied with Japan's main Government, sentenced the SYN program to be terminated, including all of it's members, data, and backup data. And the SYN's disappeared from the world.

But not forever.

Their twisted plan, and their future

They decided that the world should consist of only New Generations, and came up with a twisted plan involving Nano Bots. After they were quelled by a legendary Japanese hero, the only remaining survivor, SYN-Prototype, or Elzareth, went on to New Hera to revive somebody terrible... Where else but New Hera? Boasting an incredible energy exclusive to the city, and since Elzareth already had knowledge of New Hera before hand, it was perfect. He allied with a Maverick Hunter named "Kazuma" in resurrecting the most dangerous Reploid in history, Sigma. This Sigma though, was a backup of data founded in the city New Hera was built atop; Doppler Town, in Dopplers Lab.

The Seven Deadly SYN's hare been tied with New Hera since creation, and to New Hera, they constantly return to. Even though they are rightfully Mavericks, they have never harmed a single being, or disturbed anything in New Hera.

Elzareth consistently did actions that further proved he was a Maverick, redeemed the fact that he was, and did things unimaginable. But... Everything he's done that has ever been a Maverick action was something that benefited for New Hera; Elzareth had lived up to his SYN pair's name; he had nothing but pride for his city, even if they did try to destroy him. If it benefited New Hera, even a little bit, he would act without pause.

New Hera's ambition

The creators of New Hera had more than a Human Utopia in mind during it's creation. They had a dream, of humans being able to grasp the ability of Gravitational Control. SYN-Prototype, aka Elzareth, was called a Prototype as he was a test for the ability to control Gravity. They had planned on making New Hera a gravity-city, where walking on walls, ceilings, and so forth was natural, normal, and expected. They had used the Arena in the city itself for further testing, using Reploid battles to test how it would fare in battle and if it could withstand Reploids consistent moving and whatnot. In the Land Chaser Races, they did it to test if vehicles could withstand it.

Their fates

They had begun finalizing plans, but the co-creator and his family had been killed in a fire except for their son, and it was halted. Days later when they decided to end the hiatus shortly, the city itself literally expanded from the center with insane force, and the whole city was "knocked over", destroying everything, and everyone in it. Survivors were few.

The Seven Deadly SYN's, now known as "SYN-UNKNOWN", had begun terrorist activity, and a Japanese Maverick Hunting team, Team Bravo, had quelled them, successfully saving Japan, and destroying all but one of the members of SYN; Elzareth.
